Drumrossie Homes announces 'Insch-perfect' football sponsorship

Insch-based housebuilder Drumrossie Homes has agreed a player sponsorship deal with Aberdeen Football Club’s Hannah Insch.

Although originally from Kintore, the 18-year-old striker has lived most of her life in Perth, Australia. She was AFC Women’s first signing of the summer.

Allan Brown, managing director at Drumrossie Homes, said: “We see a huge importance in supporting our local communities and teams. With the Insch connection, Hannah is a very apt ‘signing’ for us and I’m sure everyone locally will be following her progress.

“We’re equally thrilled to build our relationship with Aberdeen Football Club. We hope Hannah and the rest of the team continue to achieve great success this season. It’s fair to say we’re hoping she becomes a household name!”

Ms Insch said: “It’s a lovely touch and I’m delighted to be sponsored by an Insch firm. It’s always great to see local businesses backing their local team. We’ve made a solid start to the season, but we want to continue to build upon that good progress and try to deliver success for the club.”

She first joined Joondalup City Football Club in Perth in 2015. She then joined Northern Redbacks Women’s Soccer Club in 2021 playing in the U21s squad. In 2022 and 2023, she played for Perth RedStar FC in the U21’s squad and also in the Women’s First Team.

Aberdeen FC Women now play in SWPL 1, the highest division of women’s football in Scotland. They play their homes matches at Cove’s Balmoral Stadium.

Work is underway on nine houses in the first phase of Drumrossie’s 44-home Rothney West development in Insch.

Established in 2004, Drumrossie’s previous developments include the Denwell Park site which consisted of 70 homes on the north side of Insch. Drumrossie Homes has built over 100 homes in Insch.
