Dundee’s former Levi’s factory to become car dealership
Dundee councillors have approved plans for a £10 million car dealership on the site of a former Levi’s factory.
Eastern Western Motor Group (EWMG) will redevelop the 4.7-acre site on Dunsinane Avenue into a dealership for electric and hybrid-powered Lexus and Toyota cars.
Yeoman McAllister Architects was previously appointed to design the project, which is now expected to be completed in late 2023.
Keith Duncan, EWMG’s managing director, told The Courier: “As a Dundonian, I am always excited about developments in my home town.
“The new £10m project will be an extension to the Barnetts brand, a name with 58 years of heritage in the city.
“We were also very impressed with the planning department’s understanding of how the Lexus and Toyota brands share the environmental goals of local government.”
