East Lothian site manager wins national seal of excellence award
Persimmon’s Gareth Lewis, site manager at The Earls in East Lothian, is celebrating a significant achievement after winning the prestigious Seal of Excellence Award in the Scotland NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.
This Seal of Excellence comes on the heels of Persimmon’s best performance in nearly fifteen years, with 19 Quality Award winners in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job Awards – an impressive increase of eleven awards from last year.
The Pride in the Job competition, which runs over an 18-month cycle, includes every site manager overseeing a site registered for NHBC Buildmark. Judging begins each year in July. Gareth is supported by assistant site managers Keith Ritchie and William Taylor at The Earls site.
Gareth has been with Persimmon East Scotland since 2019 where he joined as a site manager has been committed to delivering exceptional quality at every stage of the build.
Gareth Lewis, site manager, said: “It’s an incredible honour to receive the Seal of Excellence, and it truly reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team at The Earls.
“We take great pride in delivering high-quality homes for our customers, and this recognition motivates us to continue striving for excellence in every build.”
The Earls, which is delivering 197 energy-efficient new homes, is part of the Blindwells masterplan which will ultimately deliver more than 1,600 homes in East Lothian. The project will generate more than £40m in community investment – supporting a new school and sports pitches, as well as new roads and transport links.
Persimmon’s Earls development will also see 30 of the new homes transferred to a housing association to help local people in housing need.
