Edinburgh Council approves 130 new homes

Edinburgh City Council has approved Persimmon’s plans for 130 new homes, despite local objections over potential negative impacts on the existing housing and environment.
The development, located on Greendykes Road, will comprise 106 houses and 24 flats. Persimmon claims the project will bring hundreds of new residents to the area, boosting local businesses and the economy.
To address concerns, modifications have been made to the original proposal, including protecting a right of way, expanding cycle parking, and introducing electric vehicle charging points.
