Calum Brown

Having worked for over a decade in finance, Mr Brown began his career as a trainee accountant at Cumbernauld-based FBD Consultancy in 2012. Prior to joining Emtec, Mr Brown was finance manager at Amity Hospitality, and an accounts senior at French Duncan.

Mr Brown joined Emtec in May of last year as group accountant and rose to group financial controller in August. During this period he played a vital role in steering the finance department in a positive direction, ensuring the company’s smooth switch to new auditors at the year-end, thereby expediting the publication of the group’s statutory accounts.

Regarding the promotion, a spokesperson for the group, said: “The timing is therefore right for Calum to take over the management of the whole accounts team and lead the implementation of further planned improvements in our finance operations and support of the business.

“We have full confidence that Calum’s skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities will significantly contribute to the success of our finance department and drive the overall success of our business.”
