Esh Border Construction makes Top Track 250 list
Livingston-based Esh Border Construction has made it into the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table as part of its parent Esh Group.
The group was placed at 88 on the list, which ranks the UK’s private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales.
The construction specialist was named in the league table after recording a sales rise of 44 per cent to £277 million and a profit of £11.6m during the year to December 2014.
Top Track 250 is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each October, with a national awards dinner in London and follow-up alumni dinners.
Esh Border Construction has firmly established its place in Scotland with a clutch of new business wins and the opening of a new regional office in Livingston earlier this year, which it believes will support further growth prospects.
Among Scottish successes, Esh Border Construction was recently named the appointed contractor on Historic Scotland’s £8.9milion Engine Shed project in Forthside, Stirling.
Despite the tough economic climate, three quarters of the companies on the Top Track 250 list improved their operating profit margin in their latest year – and Esh Border Construction believes that it has benefitted from a collaborative strategy that has helped to harness a revitalised construction industry north of the border.
