Holmes Miller Architects has lodged plans on behalf of Expresso Property for a waterfront office block at Glasgow’s Pacific Quay.
About this development:
- Authority:Glasgow City
- Type:Commercial
- Applications:
- Team:Holmes Miller (architect), Expresso Property (developer)
Offering around 60.000sq/ft of accommodation across four floors, the block will also incorporate a lower ground floor providing 30 car parking spaces and cycle storage.
The building is to be branded as ‘G51’.
Outlining its plans for open space Holmes Miller wrote: “The site is exposed to the prevailing west and north east winds. Hedging and raised planting areas have been introduced to assist in filtering winds to make it more comfortable to walk, sit and gather.
“Opportunities for outdoor seating have been incorporated at the south-west corner of the building and at the front entrance. Paved areas will be principally used to enhance the entrance area and form an outdoor seating terrace.”
