Finance director to leave Kier
Kier Group has today announced that its finance director Bev Dew is to step down.
Mr Dew will leave the firm by September 30 shortly after the announcement of its results for the financial year, after over four years in the role.
The announcement comes less than a month after new chief executive Andrew Davies arrived and launched a strategic review to cut debt and simplify the company’s structure.
Kier chairman Philip Cox said: “Bev has been our finance director for over four years and I would like to thank him for his contribution over this time. Bev remains firmly committed to the company and will be working with the board to deliver the 2019 results.”
Kier’s latest results revealed the group suffered a £35.5 million loss in pre-tax profits as a result of problem contracts and mounting debts.
Mr Davies said the strategic review to turn around the group’s fortunes will consider ways of further simplifying the firm to “create a more focused group”.
