Former Carntyne sausage factory site earmarked for new flats

More than 220 flats could be built on a former factory site in Glasgow under new plans lodged with the local authority.

The application, by landowner Bradley Carson, proposes 224 flats at the old McKellar Watt sausage factory site in Carntyne.
A mixture of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties is proposed.

If approved, a ground-floor commercial unit would be included for retail or food and drink use. A new park would also be created on the land at Old Shettleston Road.
A decision is expected to be made by Thursday, August 24.
