Former England international and MP among first speakers for UKCW London
Former England international footballer Trevor Steven and Andrew Lewer MP are amongst the first set of high-profile speakers announced for UK Construction Week London, which makes a welcome return to ExCeL from May 7-9.
Trevor Steven, whose distinguished playing career ran from 1980-1997 and included 36 England caps, is now a mental health ambassador at Causeway Technologies, and will be speaking on Day 1 (May 7th).
Andrew Lewer, who is chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for SME Housebuilders and LUHC Select Committee, will discuss his plans for a “Builders’ Manifesto” on May 9th.
UKCW London will host three days of debate and discussion on how the industry can move forward to tackle its biggest issues, including the skills gap, mental health, fire safety, sustainability, offsite manufacturing, and improving diversity and inclusion.
A prestigious list of names from modular housing, sustainability, building design and architecture feature on the wide-ranging programme, including:

A host of new features, interactive demos, international pavilions from across the globe, and a charity Gumball Rally across the country have all been announced for this year’s UKCW London.
The multi-award-winning show will see the debut of a new Live Demo Theatre; Skills and Training Hub; a construction-specific Recruitment Zone; new C-Suite Summits; a ‘Gumball Rally’ which finishes at UKCW London; a host of international exhibitors housed in pavilions from India, China, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Germany and France.
UKCW London is once again co-located with Concrete Expo and The Offsite Show, as well as the UK’s premier event for the self-build sector, Grand Designs Live.
