Former laundry site near Cupar earmarked for flats

Stirling-based ACF Properties Ltd has submitted a planning application to Fife Council seeking permission to demolish the former ACF laundry buildings on Front Lebanon Street and construct new residential flats.
The company is pursuing what it describes as a “positive land use resolution” following the forced relocation of its long-established laundry business by the council.
Two years ago, ACF Laundry requested a relaxation of council restrictions on its operating hours to remain viable. However, this request was denied, leaving the company with no choice but to relocate to ensure its continued success.
With the former site now redundant, ACF Properties believes residential development is the most suitable way forward. The company has applied for planning permission in principle (PPP) to replace the existing buildings with 16 flats, divided into two housing blocks, along with car parking and landscaping, Fife Today reports.
