Forth Housing Association has welcomed the completion of a new housing development at Johnston Avenue in Cornton, Stirling.

The handover of this fourth development in Cornton sets the seal on Forth’s continued commitment to the redevelopment of this priority regeneration area.

The 24 homes which are all for social rent were built with a Scottish Government grant of £2.5 million and private funding of £1.6m.

Sharon Brady-Wardrope, interim director, said: “We are delighted to have worked in partnership with Stirling Council and the Scottish Government to meet the need for high quality affordable social housing and without their support the project would not have been possible.

“We continue to seek opportunities to meet the ever-increasing demand for quality social housing in the area we service and have a further 2 developments on site which will complete next year to help to meet this demand.”

Tenants are delighted with their new homes. One tenant who recently moved in said: “Having a room for my baby means the world to me. This home gives me stability – I love seeing my baby in her new room.”
