Free seminar on automatic fire sprinklers for housing in Scotland
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and British Automatic Sprinkler Association will jointly host a free seminar for housing providers and builders in Scotland on the advantages of fitting automatic fire sprinklers in homes.
The programme for the day will consist of a series of presentations from a number of speakers on the advantages of fitting automatic fire sprinklers in housing throughout Scotland. A side-by-side burn using some unoccupied housing will follow this to demonstrate the effectiveness of automatic fire sprinklers within a house when a fire occurs.
The presentations will include some case studies of fires within housing, retrofitting of automatic fire sprinklers within housing stock and information about the forthcoming legislative requirement to fit automatic fire sprinklers within housing in Wales.
The training centre can accommodate almost two hundred delegates and is easily accessible by train and car with ample free parking on site.
The seminar is being held in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Training Centre in Glasgow on 21st November from 0915hrs till 1500hrs and lunch will be provided.
