Game, set and match for Kilmaurs Tennis Club with help of Miller Homes
Miller Homes’ Evergreen Manor development is helping Kilmaurs Tennis Club with its fundraising efforts to repair its perimeter wall and flood lighting with a £250 donation.
Evergreen Manor development sales manager, Emma Sneddon, met with the club’s Coordinator, Iain Maitland, along with his daughter and member Cona, to hand over the donation.
The tennis club, located beside Kilmaurs Primary School, is a popular spot for all members of the local community to enjoy. Teachers and pupils of Kilmaurs Primary have access to the courts during the day for exercise classes and tennis sessions, and local residents make great use of the courts during the evenings.
Iain Maitland, club coordinator, said: “Kilmaurs Tennis Club has been part of our community since 1961 and is in need of some financial support to get it back into full swing. We’re thrilled to have received Miller Homes’ donation and are excited to put the funding into maintaining and improving the facilities here at the club. Our main goal is to create an enjoyable experience for tennis enthusiasts in our local community, and we’re hoping that this will act as a catalyst to encourage more people to join the fun.”
Louise Caldwell, sales director for Miller Homes Scotland West, added: “We are delighted to support Kilmaurs Tennis Club with this donation, doing our part to help the club develop its infrastructure for improved practices and matches. The tennis club is an important part of the Kilmaurs community, and we’re glad to help contribute to its continued success.”
