Govan Housing Association transfers factoring and property management services to new social enterprise
Govan Housing Group’s newest subsidiary, the Water Row Company, has welcomed more than 800 new customers as responsibilities for factoring and property management services transition to its newly established social enterprise from Govan Housing Association.
In addition, the Water Row Company will now oversee the management and delivery of all commercial and non-core services within the group, including the management of 92 mid-market rental properties, leasing of commercial and residential properties, and provision of money advice services.
The highly skilled team responsible for factoring services has seamlessly transitioned to the Water Row Company, ensuring continuity of the high-quality, responsive service our customers have come to expect.
The Water Row Company said the new customers represent the cornerstone of its expansion strategy as it embarks on creating a new property management service for homeowners. Partnering with Govan Housing Group’s planned and reactive repairs subsidiary the Govan HOME Team, it aims to deliver an unmatched level of service to its factored tenants throughout Glasgow.
Jamie Mallan, director of community enterprises, said: “It has already been an exciting 2024 as we welcome families into their new homes at the historic Water Row site. While ensuring a seamless transition for our new factoring customers, we eagerly anticipate welcoming new clients who will benefit from our investment in cutting-edge software, our talented team, and our unique partnership with our in-house repairs and maintenance company, the Govan HOME Team.”
The Water Row Company is actively seeking inquiries from landlords, owner-occupiers, and registered social landlords interested in transferring responsibilities for factoring and property management to its social enterprise. For more information, contact general@waterrow.co.uk.
