Local graduate Megan Scott has returned home to Glasgow where she has joined Persimmon West Scotland’s commercial team.

Originally from Bishopbriggs, Megan graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2022 and initially moved to the Midlands to participate in Persimmon’s highly regarded graduate scheme.

Now, with Persimmon’s support, Megan has returned to West Scotland, where she is focusing on buying and quantity surveying within the commercial department.

Megan’s journey reflects her passion for the housebuilding industry, which began during her time at university. After completing several rotations in the Midlands, gaining experience across various departments, she is excited to bring her skills back to her home region.

Her work in the commercial team will focus on supporting Persimmon’s developments across the West of Scotland, where the company is actively building new communities.

Speaking about her return to Glasgow, Megan said: “It’s been a great opportunity to come back to the West of Scotland and be part of such an important industry in the area I know so well.

“Persimmon has been supportive throughout my journey, and I’m eager to continue learning and contributing to the exciting projects here.”

Gary Murdoch, Persimmon West Scotland commercial director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Megan to Persimmon West Scotland where she has made a significant contribution already.

“Megan’s story is a testament to the strength of our graduate program, which not only offers varied experience across different areas of the business but also helps graduates find opportunities to grow and succeed in the locations that matter most to them.”
