The programme, NHS Lanarkshire Projects 2021-2026, is a series of projects to address prioritised investment approved by NHS Lanarkshire through its Capital Investment Group.

It is intended to provide business continuity projects, predominantly at University Hospital Monklands, and generally support service delivery within NHS Lanarkshire.

The projects will be carried out within live healthcare environments and GRAHAM will work with NHS Lanarkshire to ensure that clear and comprehensive processes and procedures are in place and agreed with NHS Lanarkshire before any construction works are undertaken.

The programme follows on from a previous working relationship with GRAHAM and NHS Lanarkshire, where works carried out at University Hospital Monklands were awarded ‘Refurbishment Project of the Year’ at the prestigious IHEEM awards.

GRAHAM regional director Chris MacLeod said: “GRAHAM has an extensive portfolio of successfully delivering projects in the healthcare sector, many of which have been delivered in a live acute clinical environment. We are absolutely delighted and excited to be continuing our relationship as a trusted delivery partner with our colleagues at NHS Lanarkshire over the next five years.

“As with our commitment during the previous seven-year period, we are also looking forward to contributing to skills and employment in the wider Lanarkshire community and leaving a lasting legacy.”

NHS Lanarkshire’s general manager for property and support services, Mary Anne Kane, said: “NHS Lanarkshire looks forward to continuing work with GRAHAM on a number of key projects essential to the delivery of high quality clinical services.”
