The HAUS-designed proposal will see 55 new flats for sale in total at the site on Greenholme Street, off Holmlea Road in Cathcart.

Fifty-three of them will have two bedrooms and two will have one bedroom. There will be 53 car parking spaces.

A design statement submitted with the application explained: “The existing site will be cleared to facilitate the creation of a vibrant, dynamic, development promoting liveable urban density.

“Proposals embrace the constraint and opportunity presented by this urban site, whilst protecting and enhancing the wider urban context.

“The development comprises three buildings arranged around a central open space with further pocket spaces to the north and south of the site.”
