Green light for Clackmannanshire wellbeing hub and school
Plans to construct a new swimming pool and additional support needs school have been approved by Clackmannanshire Council.
The Wellbeing Hub and Lochies School project was put before the council’s Planning Committee during their meeting on Thursday, January 23.
Planning permission was granted subject to a number of conditions being met.
The Wellbeing Hub will include various spaces for leisure and sport, including swimming pools, alongside a range of indoor and outdoor spaces for people to spend time, socialise, be active try new things and develop existing skills.
The new Lochies School will provide state-of-the-art facilities for learners with severe and complex needs. Both are to be built at The Pavilions in Alloa West.
The project is being managed for Clackmannanshire Council by hub East Central Scotland with Robertson as the main contractor, jmarchitects, Blyth & Blyth civil and structural engineers and BakerHicks mechanical and electrical engineers.
