Green light for Prestwick business park
A new business park is to be developed in Prestwick after a planning application was approved by councillors.
Cumnock-based Oberdarn Property and Land Development and Axiom Design Services had lodged plans to turn a vacant brownfield site just off the town’s Main Street into a new commercial space with as many as five units and associated parking.
The team will now deliver a mix of single-storey nest units, aimed at “small to medium-sized businesses” off Salisbury Place. Some units will have a mezzanine floor plate - but all of them would form “Class 2 Accommodation.”
The design statement said the buildings will be of a “simple construction” and the development will promote a “feeling of pride” in the workplace by the occupiers of the buildings.
The statement added: “The external works of hard and soft landscaping will be finished and maintained to a high standard.”
