Green light for Water of Leith student flats development

The City of Edinburgh Council has approved plans for the development of more than 100 student flats next to the Water of Leith.
Under the proposals, 105 units will be delivered in four blocks of flats along Lanark Road.
The scheme by Lanark Road Living Limited will see a car garage next to the Crosskeys pub demolished to make way for the purpose-built accommodation.
Each studio flat will have an en-suite bathroom as well as individual cooking facilities. There will also be a main reception and ‘break-out area’ on the ground floor within a courtyard block.
The approved flats will be served by five parking spaces.
