Hardies gears up for 2020 growth with widespread promotions
Hardies Property & Construction Consultants has made a number of promotions at partnership and associate levels across its services and offices throughout Scotland.
The promotions see long-serving associates Kevin Webster in Stirling and Gareth Cordiner in Aberdeen become partners.
Webster, who has been with the firm for 15 years, specialises in building surveying, where he is involved in pre-acquisition due diligence, dilapidations, feasibility, project appraisal and maintenance planning. He is also head of Hardies Domestic Energy Department and a domestic energy assessor and green deal advisor.
Cordiner, meanwhile, is a chartered building surveyor and project manager dealing with commercial, industrial and office properties specialising in building surveys, commercial energy performance certificates, dilapidations, schedule of conditions, project management, project monitoring, life cycle costing and maintenance schedules.
Hardies five new associates are: Martyn Stevens and David Gillan, both building surveyors in Dundee, Deborah Roberts, principal designer in Dundee; Gordon Howie, principal designer in Edinburgh and Alan Chappell, quantity surveyor in Perth.
Commenting on the promotions, Danny McArthur, staff partner at Hardies Property & Construction Consultants, said: “Congratulations to each of our new partners and associates whose well-deserved promotions have been made in recognition of the tremendous contribution each has made to the continuing growth of the partnership over recent years.
“That growth is set to step up a gear in 2020 and these promotions will enable us to enhance the range of services and expertise we can offer to clients throughout the length and breadth of Scotland and beyond over the coming years.”
In 2016, Hardies merged with valuation surveying firm Shepherd Chartered Surveyors and acquired the quantity surveying firm Binnie McKenzie Partnership in Glasgow in 2018. And just last week Hardies announced its acquisition of Glasgow-based Allan & Hanel Chartered Surveyors, marking the latest stage in its strategy to expand its operations throughout the West of Scotland.
The combined operation has 34 offices in Scotland with a staff of circa 450.
