Hardies recruits seven trainee building and quantity surveyors
In the last 18 months Hardies Property & Construction Consultants has appointed seven trainee building surveyors and quantity surveyors to add to the one trainee gained from its recent acquisition of The Binnie McKenzie Partnership.
The new recruits, who work across Hardies’ Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, are: Molly McGregor (Dunfermline), Grant Cunningham (Dundee), Jack Heneghan (Glasgow), Alana Sneddon (Edinburgh), Kristofer Robinson (Dunfermline), Ryan Ferguson (Dundee), Ronan Whyte (Dundee) and Laura Falconer (Edinburgh).
Three of the trainees attend an apprentice route degree at Edinburgh Napier University, with the remainder coming from Heriot Watt and Glasgow Caledonian universities.
Danny McArthur, Hardies staff partner, said: “We have already seen significant growth this year and, as the firm continues to grow and develop, we identified a need for fresh talent. And while there is a shortage of building and quantity surveyors available in the sector, we decided to invest in training our own.
“Following our successful merger in 2016 with Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, Scotland’s leading chartered surveyors, valuers, property agents and property managers ,we have been able to further invest in quality staff across the business and fund this ambitious graduate recruitment and trainee programme.”
