HB Projects submits notice of intention to appoint administrators
Specialist retail contractor HB Projects has submitted its notice of intention to appoint administrators due to several cancelled and deferred projects.
Based in Bradford and operating across the UK from offices in Livingston and Gatwick, the firm has completed work for major companies such as Asda, B&Q, Morrisons, and IKEA.
Directors broke the news last week, citing “a number of cancelled and/or deferred projects” resulting in cashflow problems.
A statement issued on LinkedIn read: “This has been a difficult, but necessary step due to a number of cancelled and/ or deferred projects which has meant that we are unable to maintain a positive cash flow throughout the forthcoming months.
“We appreciate this action affects a large number of people, including our supply chain, we would also wish to thank each team member of HB Projects for all your hard work over the years. We are truly sorry to all for this outcome.”
The contractor’s consultancy subsidiary, Onyx Project Services, continues to trade.
A statement from Onyx said: “Despite these changes [with HB Projects], it’s business as usual here at Onyx, and we’re as committed as ever to delivering outstanding service to all of our clients.”
