Based in Sheffield, and with offices in Glasgow, Bristol, London and Manchester, the firm is part of the successful 130-year-old London Stock Exchange listed Henry Boot Group.

Over the next 18 months Henry Boot Developments will commence some £800 million worth of projects across the UK. The company has just started work on the new Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, after concluding an unconditional agreement worth £333m with Aberdeen City Council. The development will include a 4-star hotel and an energy centre, with a completion date set for 2019.

In Manchester, Henry Boot Developments has just received planning consent for the first phase of a £200m “Kampus” regeneration scheme being developed in partnership with Capital & Centric. Once completed, this project will add 478 apartments to the Manchester market plus retail and leisure space.

Across in York, the company is well underway developing the iconic Terry’s Chocolate HQ. Working in partnership with PJ Livesey, this project has transformed the multi-storey factory building into 160 luxury apartments, with over half already being reserved. Springfield Health, Yorkshire’s biggest independent care provider, is creating an 82-bed residential care facility with a specialist dementia unit. Negotiations are underway with a high end operator to convert the Liquor Store into a restaurant, and a planning application has been submitted to turn the Clock Tower into additional luxury apartments.

Developments have continued at the 200-acre Markham Vale commercial park with completion of a 479,000 sq. ft. unit for Great Bear. Construction of a 212,000 sq ft unit is also well underway the for German Automotive business Ferdinand Bilstein. This is first building to be constructed on the 70-acre North Phase of the site and is expected to be followed by a further 630,000 sq ft of space in the New Year.

In other areas of the UK, Henry Boot Developments has completed the conversion of Centre Gate in Bristol into student accommodation which is now fully let for the 2016/2017 academic year. Over in Epsom, redevelopment of the HQ for engineering and project management consultancy, Atkins, has commenced. Once completed, it will provide 110,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art office space.
