Hub North Scotland to refresh Tier 1 construction contractor supply chain

Hub North Scotland to refresh Tier 1 construction contractor supply chain

Hub North Scotland is looking to build on continuing expansion with a refresh of its Tier 1 construction contractor supply chain.

The public-private partnership developer has successfully delivered more than £1 billion of projects for its public sector clients and recently announced the preferred bidders to be construction contractors for £333 million of learning estate projects through its North Schools Programme initiative.

It is also providing the Programme Management Office for Aberdeen City Council’s City Centre and Beach Masterplan, which includes major streetscape works, a new city centre market and the regeneration of the beachfront.

Hub North has extended its offer for clients into key areas such as place, net zero transition, service delivery transformation, master planning, social impact and inclusive economic growth to help meet local, regional and national policy targets.

That has helped create additional potential future community infrastructure pipeline opportunities in a territory from stretches across the north from Argyll and Bute to Aberdeen and hub North believes the time is now right to refresh one of the key parts of its supply chain.

Chief executive Richard Park said: “We already have a very strong list of Tier 1 construction contractors and have an excellent working relationship with them all. However, we are not going to be complacent, and I recognise there are companies out there who would also welcome the opportunity to be part of our supply chain.

“Our success is built on trust and collaboration with our contractors to deliver top quality, efficient and innovative solutions for our clients’ requirements. This refresh is an ideal opportunity for construction contractors who share those values to work directly with hub North.”

Contractor companies who wish to apply must have a proven track record in successfully delivering projects in excess of £10m and if selected must sign up to the hub North Scotland Supply Chain Agreement.
