Dundee architecture practice Jon Frullani Architect is to move to new premises after the firm acquired a former restaurant.
Having outgrown its current base at District 10 in the city’s Greenmarket, the company will move to the building which previously contained the Mint Tapas Bar and Restaurant on Perth Road.
Posting to its Facebook page, the practice wrote: “Very exciting news this Friday! Today we got the keys to our very own building. After years of designing for others we now get to design our own new office.
“To say we are super excited is an understatement, stay tuned as we’ll be posting regular updates of how we get on, we’ve already uncovered some amazing original features.”
Company owner Jon Frullani told The Courier: “The new site will allow us to unify the team in the same location, which is important as we take on increasingly larger projects.
“Having said that, we remain a diverse practice and will continue to deliver for clients on developments of all sizes.”
Mr Frullani estimates the refurbishment of the new premises will take around six months and will see the retention of a number of original features.
“This is an opportunity for us to show clients and potential clients the range and quality of services we provide – it will effectively be a shop window for us,” he said.
“For us, this move is also the embodiment of good architectural design, regenerating the built environment to the benefit of the community.”
