Indeglas scoops two national awards for innovative approach
Indeglas has been recognised at the Finishes and Interiors 2023 Contractors Awards for the second year running.
The company won a category award for ‘Partitioning’ as well as the prestigious ‘Project of the Year’ prize, both for its work at the University of Glasgow’s ARC Building, crafted by architect HOK International on behalf of Multiplex.
The Project of the Year Award was judged by guest architect Robert Fry, international and executive director of Aukett Swanke Group plc.
Fry applauded how well Indeglas achieved the brief “to achieve a collaborative environment to stimulate human connectivity for the University’s academic and research community…by creating a spectacular glazed atrium and a series of high-performance function rooms with their range of high-quality products and systems”.
He went on to praise Indeglas’ “high level of workmanship and detail, the use of efficient and economic processes, and most notably how they enabled available daylight to penetrate the very heart of the atrium to promote the wellbeing of all building users”.
Indeglas MD, Jeanette MacIntyre, said: “The award ‘Project of the Year’ is particularly significant. The acknowledgement that our team achieved project outcomes above and beyond expectations – most notably in the areas of promoting collaborative working and well-being amongst users - was very special.
“Many of our competitors could deliver an equally beautiful, technically accomplished outcome, but at Indeglas we go the extra mile on the human-centred value we add, knowing that every piece of glass our clients invest in impacts an end-user’s life.
“We want to make the places we work, study and heal the most complimentary to productivity and well-being possible. Winning this award is great acknowledgement of that, and a moment I will treasure for a very long time.”
