Inquiry announced into death at TECA construction site
A fatal accident inquiry is to be held into the death of a painter working at Aberdeen’s new exhibition centre.
Kevin Stewart was preparing a hotel room for painting when he fell off a platform and sustained “serious head injuries” in September 2018.
Emergency services were called to the scene and he was placed in an induced coma at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The 51-year-old later died in hospital.
The Press and Journal has reported a fatal accident inquiry has now been announced as Mr Stewart died while in the course of his employment.
A hearing has been set for March at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, with the full inquiry expected later that month.
