The project was undertaken on behalf of Trident Building Consultancy, the project managers for the restoration works, and its client ATG Entertainment, the current operator of the King’s Theatre.

Led by the skilled team of Davie Stewart, Brian Laidlaw, and Scott Milliken, the project encompassed a wide range of specialist restoration works, including restoring the theatre’s elegant stone façade to its original splendour, meticulous restoration of the theatre’s historic windows, expert leadwork to ensure weatherproofing and longevity, enhancing the theatre’s external illumination and revitalising the theatre’s entrances and external details.

Gentle and effective cleaning was undertaken to reveal the sandstone’s natural beauty, while unnecessary elements were cleared to restore the original aesthetic.

Scott McMillan, managing director of Insite Group, said the project demanded a delicate balance of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, all executed with the utmost respect for the King’s Theatre’s historical significance.
