J Smart & Co winds up Kirkcaldy concrete products subsidiary

The listed contractor confirmed the move in a stock exchange announcement on Tuesday afternoon.

In the year to 31 July 2018, the subsidiary’s revenue amounted to £2,100,000 and it suffered a loss before tax of £466,000.

J Smart & Co said: “The directors took this decision due to the substantial losses made by Concrete Products (Kirkcaldy) Limited in the current year to 31 July 2018 and in previous years.”
