Jay Livingstone to lead ATS resin flooring division
Specialist flooring contractor Advanced Traditional Screeding (ATS) has strengthened its senior team with the recruitment of Jay Livingstone to head up its resin flooring division.
Mr Livingstone joins from Sherwin-Williams, one of the world’s largest resin suppliers, where he held the position of national business development manager – MRO for the UK and Ireland.
Highly skilled in coating specifications and with a broad knowledge and understanding of resin technologies and substrate preparation, his appointment is a key addition for ATS as the firm looks to continue its ongoing growth.
Previous sector experience includes a four-year spell with Stonhard, the US-based multi-national manufacturer and installer of seamless epoxy and urethane resin industrial flooring, where he was latterly sales and project manager for Scotland and the North East.
“We are delighted to welcome Jay to the ATS team as Head of Resins,” said director David Crosby.
“He is vastly experienced and brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts to the business.
“The fact we have been able to attract him is a testimony to the great work being done by ATS and demonstrates our intent to keep the business moving forward with the right people in the right positions.
“Jay brings a new dynamic and layer to the business and we’re genuinely excited about his arrival.”
Last month saw ATS named Medium Business of the Year for the first time at the 2023 Fife Business Awards and Livingstone believes it’s the ideal time to be joining the firm, which is based in Rosyth.
He said: “I knew ATS from my time at Sherwin-Williams as they were a customer of ours and I was always impressed by their professionalism. They are really conscientious and will do everything to make sure their client is happy, which is great both for the end user and the manufacturer.
“They have a huge amount of local knowledge and a terrific local support whereby there is a number of experts who can go into a meeting at any given time, which is very important.
“I genuinely could not be more thrilled to be joining the team and am really excited about what lies ahead for us.”
