JLL expands Edinburgh team with new senior hire
Commercial property specialist JLL has expanded its Edinburgh office agency team with the appointment of a new associate.
Sara Dudgeon joins JLL following four years working in the Scottish commercial property market as a senior surveyor at CuthbertWhite. She specialised in landlord and tenant representation and was involved with many lettings, disposals and acquisitions for developers and occupiers.
In her new role, Sara will join the market leading team, working with landlord and tenants, to help them address their office needs and requirements.
Recent research from JLL found that the volume of occupiers looking for space in the capital was up on levels seen in Q1 2019, prior to the pandemic, with professional services and technology media and telecoms businesses the most active in the market.
But property was not Sara’s first passion. The new Associate also has experience working as an African safari tour operator, an undergraduate degree in interior architecture and a masters degree in real estate and planning.
Sara Dudgeon, associate at JLL, said: “I’m really excited to be joining JLL’s Edinburgh team. Having worked for four years in the Edinburgh office market, I am eager to put my skills in supporting tenants and landlords to use at JLL, and help the firm’s clients to adapt and thrive in an evolving commercial property landscape.
“Following COP26 last year, sustainability will continue to be one of the most important considerations for landlords and tenants. With lots of exciting projects in the pipeline, including the Parabola building at Edinburgh Park, I look forward to supporting our clients as they transition to more sustainable space and help cut Scotland’s carbon footprint over the coming years.”
Sara’s appointment follows the promotion of Edinburgh-based Hannah Done to associate director earlier this year. Hannah specialises in tenant representation and has worked at JLL since joining the firm’s graduate scheme in 2017.
Cameron Stott, lead director for Edinburgh at JLL, said: “It’s been a really positive start to the year for our Edinburgh office, with Hannah’s well-deserved promotion and the fantastic addition of Sara this month. Q1 has been incredibly busy for us as a team, following on from a very active 2021, and occupiers are increasingly requesting office space with strong green credentials and health and wellbeing attributes to attract and retain staff.
“The addition of Sara to the team will enable us to meet this rising demand and help us to continue delivering a market leading service to our clients.”
