JR Group donates 1,700 selection boxes across central Scotland
In an effort to spread some Christmas cheer, The JR Group has donated a sleigh full of selection boxes, more than 1,700 boxes, to charities and organisations across central Scotland.
The Paisley-based construction group selected ten groups across the country to support this Christmas including Whiterose Community Hall, Shettleston Growing Project, Shettleston Housing Association, Kindless Homeless Street Team, Glasgow City Mission Family Centre, Anderston Primary School, Govan HELP, Fife Housing Group, Renfrewshire Toy Bank and Dalmilling Primary School in Ayr.
The bumper donation was distributed earlier this week by The JR Group elves.
John Horne, managing director of The JR Group, is incredibly passionate about the firm’s role to play in supporting charities at Christmas year after year.
He said: “We are committed to keeping the Christmas spirit alive this year, it is a key time for ourselves and our partners to come together and help to make people smile this festive season.
“The organisations and groups we have supported this year span the full central belt of Scotland from Fife over in the east coast to Ayr in the west with many other locations in between, so I would like to thank our team, our business partners and their colleagues for helping with this year’s drive and making it such a success.”
The JR Group also bolstered its Christmas charity efforts by handing over a cheque for £111,875 to the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation following the company’s Winter Wonderland Ball held earlier in the month.
