The Paisley-based construction firm has been appointed by the group as build contractor for the project, and is set to deliver 49 new homes in Glen Albyn.
Construction will kick off this summer and the new homes are expected to be delivered late-summer into autumn of 2022.
This project marks the first time The JR Group has worked with Fife Housing Group – which is one of the largest independent housing associations in the east of Scotland with approximately 2,500 properties in Fife and an annual turnover of over £12.7 million.
The JR Group is working closely with a range of partners for the project, including architect Oliver & Robb, employer’s agent Hardies and engineer Bayne Stevenson Associates.
Craig Whyte, commercial director at The JR Group, said: “It is great to have won the contract to take this exciting new project forward. The JR Group is making its regional debut on this project as it is the first time we have taken on a project in Fife, so we’re very much looking forward to getting started this summer and delivering new housing in the area.
“This marks our first project for Fife Housing Group and we’re delighted to be working together. We look forward to developing a successful working relationship with them.”
Fife Housing Group’s chief executive, Nicki Donaldson, echoes this sentiment: “Our Glen Albyn project has been in the pipeline for quite some time and we are delighted that we are now in a position to move this forward, working with The JR Group for the first time to deliver much-needed two and three-bedroom homes in the Kirkcaldy area.”
