Kilmac makes a splash with Perth sponsorship
Groundworks specialist Kilmac has announced support for a successful Tayside sports club.
The company has agreed a two-year sponsorship with Perth City Swim Club, which has nurtured a clutch of international swimmers in recent years.
Marketing manager Lauren Pratt was delighted to visit Perth Leisure Pool in advance of the weekend Club Championships.
Kilmac’s backing has been warmly welcomed by club president Eve Thomson.
“Our Club Champs are the most highly anticipated and exciting event on our calendar, where the whole club gathers for a wonderful weekend of swimming, competing for personal bests, medals and trophies,” said Eve.
“It’s a huge challenge for the club to organise, with 70 boys and girls, spanning ages from 9 to 20 competing on Saturday and Sunday at Perth Leisure Pool.
“The cost of hosting an event on this scale is significant and the support from Kilmac over the next two years is invaluable.
“In addition, their very generous donation of the Championship medals is gratefully received and will help reduce the burden on the club and our members.”
Lauren said: “We are delighted to support such a well-run community club, which has put Perth on the sporting map in recent years.
“It’s wonderful that international swimmers like Olympic medal winner Stephen Milne and Commonwealth Games duo Scott McLay and Camilla Hattersley have come through the ranks to compete at the very highest level.
“Perth City Swim Club is deeply embedded in the local community and the coaches encourage swimmers to make the most of their talent at local, regional, national and international level.”
