Kitchen and bathroom installers wanted public sector works
LHC Scotland would like to hear from small and large scale contractors who have experience of installing kitchens, bathrooms and associated works in social housing, schools, community centres and other public sector buildings.
The public sector specialist procurement consortium is forming a new framework of approved contractors for launch in summer 2015 to carryout work throughout Scotland, England and Wales on a number of projects that range in value and size.
The Contract Notice and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) for LHC’s new Kitchen and Bathroom Installation (KB3) framework is now available to download from the company’s website.
With two workstreams available, there are opportunities for both small, local companies to apply to the framework through Workstream 1, which is for contracts less than £250k. While larger, national contractors can focus on Workstream 2 and apply for contracts above £250k.
Successful companies will be eligible to work for housing associations and local authorities who are seeking experienced, quality driven contractors who can provide value for money.
John Skivington, LHC director, said: “The range and scale of the work available through housing associations and local authorities on the Kitchen and Bathroom Installation framework provides an opportunity for micro and SME builders and contractors to apply, alongside larger companies who have the resources to deal with major contracts.
“We want to be in the position to provide our customers with a choice of experienced companies, both large and small, who have the relevant experience, deliver exceptional quality and provide value for money.”
The framework will include the installation of kitchens and bathrooms, plumbing, rewiring, decoration and the fitting of white goods.
Contractors interested in applying for this opportunity can register their interest and download the PQQ and Contract Notice from the LHC e-tendering portal –www.lhc.gov.uk/scotland.
The closing date for interested installers submitting a PQQ is 16 February 2015.
