The company chose the industrial park 10 miles from the city centre as the location of its new facility which is the largest metal stockholding and processing warehouse in Scotland boasting over 100,000 square feet of internal space and an 11,114 sq ft office pavilion.

The facility’s stock capacity of 5000 tonnes, which is made up of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, coupled with Kloeckner Metals UK’s extensive processing expertise, enables the delivery of a comprehensive range of sustainable solutions to a diverse array of industries, including energy, renewables, oil & gas, construction, fabrication and manufacturing.

CBRE acted for asset manager JCAM Property in the letting of the facility – Unit 1 at Newbridge Link – while LSH acted for Kloeckner. In line with the occupier and landlord’s commitments to sustainability, CBRE was able to advise on and introduce a Green Lease Clause into the deal structure.

CBRE said the building was chosen due to the high-quality refurbishment carried out by the landlord and Newbridge’s strategic location offering excellent connectivity for Kloeckner into their wider UK operations.

JCAM purchased Newbridge Link, the former Edgen Murray facility, on behalf of the owners in 2022. Unit 2 is currently available to lease and offers 50,000 sq ft of industrial space with a secure concrete yard.
