The Hospitality & Leisure division of Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, together with joint agents Strutt & Parker, have completed the sale of the ‘A’ listed Baronial castle designed by Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson, with additions by William Leiper.

The castle was built in the mid-19th century for James Templeton, the famous Scottish textile manufacturer, although its ‘A’ listing has more to do with the exceptional Leiperian interior which is considered one of the finest domestic interiors of its style in Scotland.

Occupying an elevated position being accessed from Shore Road within the village of Cove, Knockderry Castle provides excellent views overlooking Loch Long, a stunning sea loch situated on the west coast near Loch Lomond and Helensburgh.
