LDC to revamp historic Scottish Bible Society HQ
Glasgow-based Linear Design and Construct (LDC) has been appointed to deliver the comprehensive refurbishment of Scottish Bible Society’s (SBS) headquarters in Edinburgh’s West End.
The project will see a complete internal refurbishment of Bible House including opening up various spaces to enhance lighting and natural ventilation.
Home to the Society since 1976, the C listed church is situated at Roseburn and houses a team of 20 staff.
Ryan Broadley, managing director of Linear Design and Construct, said: “We are delighted to be appointed to deliver this fantastic project for the Scottish Bible Society and look forward to providing a high-quality end result. The team at LDC are well equipped to ensure the sensitive and thoughtful refurbishment of this historic building.
“This latest win continues the strong performance of LDC and is testament to the reputation we are building for the business, its expertise and team.”
Elaine Duncan, chief executive of the Scottish Bible Society, added: “SBS has been based at Bible House for over 40 years. During that time, our mission and purpose has stayed the same but the way we fulfil it has changed as the world around us has changed. We are excited the see the building being transformed into a working environment fit for current and future needs.”
The refurbishment project and fit-out began on-site in August and will be complete in December 2019.
