LHC Scotland pre-tender seminar for contractors interested in offsite housing framework
LHC Scotland will be holding a pre-tender seminar for Scottish contractors interested in applying to a third workstream of its offsite New Homes framework – construction services.
The public sector procurement specialist is looking for suitable contractors to tender for a number of regional opportunities that area available to both large and SME businesses.
LHC recently launched it New Homes’ framework for volumetric and panelised offsite housing and responding to customer demand has added a construction services framework. This now enables the organisation to offer its social housing clients a complete turnkey solution.
The new framework, which includes ground works and finishing, is due to be launched later this year across England, Wales and Scotland with the tender process starting in March.
Working with Buildoffsite, LHC is set to hold four seminars in London, Bristol, Edinburgh and Manchester, and is encouraging contractors of all sizes interested in tendering to attend.
John Skivington, LHC director, said: “The seminars will allow contractors to find out more about the framework and the opportunities available, while providing a clear understanding of the procurement process and guidance on completing the tender.
“The framework has been designed in such a way that it accommodates contractors of all sizes who are best positioned to deal with large or small projects. We are keen to hear from contractors interested in tendering for the framework.”
The Construction Services framework has been divided into three different work streams, relevant to project size. Work stream 1 is for low rise developments up to 20 units and is available in 14 regional areas, work stream 2 is for low rise developments of 21 units or more and is available in eight regional areas and work stream 3 is for high rise developments and is available in four regional areas.
The Edinburgh seminar will take place on 24 February. Interested contractors can register a place by visiting LHC’s events page.
