Linear Group strengthens team with raft of new appointments
Contracting and fit-out specialist Linear Group has announced a number of new appointments as the business continues to build on its success and drive its growth ambitions forward.
Andrew Deacon joins the Linear Design & Construct (LDC) team as site manager with primary responsibility for the effective and safe delivery of the South Ayrshire Council rationalisation project at Ayr County Halls. With a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and five years’ experience working for Kier, Andrew brings a collaborative and determined approach to the team.
Alongside Andrew on the South Ayrshire project, Robert Andreucci has been appointed as assistant site manager. He brings varied and hands-on experience of fit-out and refurbishment skills to the site management function for the Troon Municipal Buildings element of the project.
Also on the Ayrshire project, Gary Weddle takes up the post of quantity surveyor following 12 years with Morris & Spottiswood. His role sees him commercially managing the project, including overseeing subcontractor packages and the client contract.
Garry Willis has also been appointed health, safety & environmental manager for Linear Group. With more than 20 years of senior managerial experience including roles with Stewart Milne Group and Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, Garry is a skilled coach and practitioner with proven experience of successfully implementing award-winning safety behavioural programmes. In his new position, he will support both Linear Design & Construct and Linear Projects to ensure the ongoing commitment to best practice and the adherence to the highest standards.
Also joining the group function is Olga Holewinska who becomes an estimator following 10 years of diverse experience in both Scotland and Poland. Her role at Linear sees her working across tenders and live projects ensuring efficient and effective budget planning and management.
The team has also been further boosted by the addition of Catherine Keaveney, who is an administrator in the Manchester office, Aidan McLaughlin as a trainee buyer and Ian Taggart, who is supporting the team on the Edinburgh St James project over the summer.
