Lockdown surge in readers sets new record for Scottish Construction Now
Scottish Construction Now has seen a dramatic rise in readers over lockdown with users on the website in May reaching 147,198 and subscribers to Scotland’s only free daily construction media increasing to 9,580.
SCN’s social media accounts also saw an increase with another 524 readers following SCN LinkedIn page last month taking followers to 5,152. Twitter also increased to 6,229.
And there was more good news for our sister publication Scottish Housing News with the number of individual users on the website breaking through 80,000 for the first time. Subscribers to the free daily SHN newsletter, which marks its 20th anniversary next year, increased yet again to 7,353 and Twitter to 13,306.
SCN editor Kieran Findlay said: “I think our readers have been very appreciative that we have been able to carry on publishing during lockdown with high-quality content and vital information for readers during the COVID crisis.”
He added: “Our continued growth during this difficult time puts us in good stead to come out of the crisis stronger with improved coverage attracting more readers and offering even better value for our advertisers.”
