He joins the company from JLL where he was head of retail management for Scotland.

Stuart has particular experience in lease administration and working with landlords, and will report to Andrew MacGilp, commercial property director. He will be responsible for all day-to-day property management functions including income collection and service-charge management as well as day-to-day service delivery.

His appointment comes as a result of the company’s continued growth. To accommodate a significant increase in assets under management, the previous Head of Property Management role has been split into an operational role and a projects and services role.

Current head of property management, Peter Stasiuk, has been appointed as head of property (management projects and services). He will oversee business growth and the development of service lines within the property management function. He will also be responsible for delivery of facilities management services, business generation and recruitment.

LSPIM has also appointed Jane Smith and John-Paul Longmuir as property managers in Glasgow and will further grow the team with another secured property manager appointment at the end of June. In addition, Tracey Moffat joins as head of property accounts and will report to Sarah Campbell, finance director.

Speaking about the appointments, Andrew MacGilp said: “We are delighted to welcome the new members to the team. We have always placed a heavy emphasis on proactive property management and building strong, collaborative relationships with occupiers. This has enabled us to maintain industry-leading levels of rent collection despite the Covid-19 lockdown, and we are now expanding our property management function.

“Following on from our recent success in securing Crown Estate Scotland’s mandate to manage their Urban Portfolio, we are focused on continuing to grow our property management business and offer the market an alternative model of quality customer-focused service. This recent recruitment sees our staff numbers increase to 65, making us one of the largest property and asset management focused businesses in Scotland.”
