Martin joins the Fife-based company from ISG where he was director of operations for major projects, having held a number of senior management positions, including area director for Miller Construction, managing director (Central Region) for Robertson Group and divisional director at Interserve Construction.

Martin’s first role in the industry following his graduation from the University of Strathclyde in 1994, was as an engineer with Muir Group where he gained invaluable knowledge and experience enabling him to progress a career in project management. The extensive contractual and legal knowledge Martin possesses today is underpinned by his LLM in Construction Law and experience garnered as an expert witness working on behalf of some of the UK’s leading law firms.

Muir Group comprises a diverse portfolio of six subsidiaries including construction, homes, timber systems, property development, and property investment arms, as well as owning and operating Deer Park Golf and Country Club in Livingston. Last year, Muir had a turnover of £85 million with net assets of £87m.
