Maxi Construction posts increase in turnover
Livingston based Maxi Construction Ltd has continued its business plan of steady profitable growth as it revealed an increase of turnover in 2014.
Figures for the year to September 30, 2014 found that turnover reached £11.37 million, up from £8.55m the previous year.
A strong order book for the following financial year will see turnover increase again, the firm said. Projects remain diverse in nature including retail and office refurbishment, new retail shell units, car showroom refurbishment, leisure refurbishment, historic buildings and school extensions ranging in value from £25,000 to £2,500,000.
There continues to be pressure on profits in a competitive marketplace, however. Profit before tax fell slightly from £377k in 2013 to £316k last year. Maxi said these pressures remain at an acceptable level.
