Maxi returns to West Lothian College for alteration works
Maxi Construction has been awarded a contract for alteration and student-focussed improvement works to West Lothian College in Livingston.
The contract is the company’s second award via the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Construction Works and Associated Services Framework following its work on a mezzanine level extension to the existing Skills Centre last year.
The works include a new glass and steel front entrance to Building 1 as well as the creation of an electrical workshop, digital health suite and a self-contained area for the Access, Schools and Employability team.
John Aitchison, Maxi Construction’s managing director, commented: “We are delighted to return to West Lothian College and to continue our working relationship with the Client and project team in the provision of improved facilities for the College and students.”
The project team includes contracts administrator/project manager Campbell Martin Associates, architect McGinlay Bell and structural engineer Indev Consult Ltd.
Maxi Construction was appointed in 2019 to Lot 1.1.4 of the CCS Construction Works Framework for Building Works and Minor Associated Civil Engineering Works and Services up to £3 million throughout Scotland.
