Maxi secures Liberton Nursery retrofit contract
Maxi Construction has been awarded a £1.9 million contract from the City of Edinburgh Council for retrofit works to Liberton Nursery.
Works to the Victorian building will include window replacement, insulation works, MEP upgrades, ceiling replacement and finishes, with the building subject to air tightness testing.
John Aitchison, Maxi Construction’s managing director, said: “We are looking forward to delivering the Liberton Nursery retrofit project. This will allow us to build on our experience from the recently completed Passivhaus annexe at Sciennes Primary School.”
The project team includes architect Architype Ltd, quantity surveyor Currie & Brown, structural engineer G3 Consulting Engineers Ltd and mechanical & electrical engineer Harley Haddow.
The contract was procured via Lot 1.1.4 of the Crown Commercial Service Construction Works and Associated Services Framework for Building Works up to £3m throughout Scotland.
