McTaggart makes £10,000 donation to benefit Wheatley customers
McTaggart Construction has made a £10,000 donation to the Wheatley Foundation in support of community projects.
The homebuilder is currently building over 350 new homes across the central belt of Scotland for Wheatley and is a member of their contractor framework.
Gary Climson, managing director of McTaggart Construction, said: “Building new homes is our primary business and while we’re building these homes, we strive to improve the lives of the local people. We hope this contribution will enhance the Christmas’ of Wheatley’s customers within these communities.”
Wheatley Foundation director Lorraine McLaren said: “Thanks to contributions from our contractors such as McTaggart’s we can help make a difference to people in our communities.
“The £10,000 has helped fund a range of projects such as a community garden in Barmulloch, the refurbishment of a community centre in Castlemilk and panto trips for children in Maryhill.”
McTaggart was recently announced as winners of the ‘Business in the Community’ category of the Ayrshire Business Awards 2018 and the awarded the ‘Community Contribution’ prize at the Scottish Home Awards 2018 in June. The company was also finalists for ‘Large Employer of the Year’ the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards.
