M&E contractor continues to progress with new project manager appointment
Glasgow-based M&E contractor Arc-Tech Scotland has taken on a new project manager to lead works at a care home in Milngavie.
Stuart MacDonald is the latest to join the ranks of the fast-growing business and will now take Abbotsford House to full contract completion this November.
Working alongside main contractor CCG on behalf of Morrison Community Care Group, Stuart’s responsibilities will be to manage the delivery of Arc-Tech’s M&E package across the development which will comprise 45 private suites and an extensive array of facilities for the future residents including four restaurants, a cinema and a specialist in-house medical unit.
The range of Arc-Tech’s service installation includes the building’s air conditioning, alarm and lighting systems as well as drainage, ventilation and heating.
Stuart MacDonald said: “I am very proud to join a business like Arc-Tech. I was immediately taken by their drive and ambition to move forward and to be given the responsibility of leading one of their largest projects is very rewarding. We are only six weeks into our 24 week programme so there is a long way to go but I am excited to see the end product in what is going to be a fantastic facility.”
John Gallacher, Arc-Tech Scotland managing director, added: “Stuart has settled into Arc-Tech very well and has added to what has fast become a very strong Project Management Team. Our approach to employability is met with our ambition to grow whilst also providing the highest quality of service. Our team is now in excess of 50 staff across office and site-based roles, all ready and able to meet the needs of our clients.
“I am proud of how our team is progressing and excited to see how their skills develop over the course of the year as we continue to take on more, bigger and challenging projects.”
